The pursuit of spiritual journeys has become fashionable, with millions seeking the allure of peace. However, peace remains elusive, and unaccessible beneath layers of overthinking and mental clutter. In a world increasingly obsessed with spirituality, people find themselves more unsettled despite the abundance of spiritual ideas.
The truth is that the conditioned mind- mechanism is programmed to act against peace, whilst nurturing and guarding the self-deception of constantly seeking peace and happiness. Let me elaborate
What is Peace?
She is NOT a cheap mistress!
Peace is not an attainable object out there or within you. So going within, doing spiritual work, without correct understanding will yield only fleeting glimpses, not permanent peace. People feel good after yoga, meditation, and spiritual retreats and resettling back into their normal vibration. Life gives you some comic relief even amidst the deepest of sorrow. That is because Life is merciful, as well as playful.
The peace that comes and stays is never going to be found with effort within the framework of a conditioned mind. Had peace been achievable that way, the whole world would have found peace by now. After all, people put a lot of mental effort into their Self-development. But because it is hidden so deep inside you and not separate from your very being, chances are stacked against you to find it. Clever game!
The programmed mind is delusional, whether the programming is religious, Mexist, spiritual, or Secular. The conditioned mind is the only thing that sits between you and your peace. Your mind is never going to let you settle down enough to know what's already there. People look for peace as some'thing'. Your mind is the non-peace that will never let you find peace. Had your mind not been such a control freak, you would naturally know peace, without any effort whatsoever. The only problem with peace is She is not a cheap mistress, she demands the sacrifice of your false identity, floated entirely by your programmed mind.
The Nature of the Conditioned Mind
The conditioned mind forms right from birth, during upbringing and substantiates throughout our life experiences. It absorbs messages from family, culture, and society.
These internal impressions create powerful if mostly anti-life narratives, often keeping you from experiencing real peace. The mind can trick you into feeling calm, but these moments are usually fleeting, masking deeper anxiety and dissatisfaction. The mind is a box of tricks. it unsettles you and then puts you on a spiritual journey. Everything you think, say and do is via the filter of the programmed mind.
The Illusion of Control
As you go through life, the mind creates a false story of control. It convinces you that you can navigate your lives through careful planning and sheer determination. It will tell you, that you are so spiritual, kind, and generous while presenting you with the bleakest outlook that anticipates doom and gloom. Your mind is in charge. it's playing you like a fiddle. You don't even know it. The mechanism is too sophisticated and slippery for you to suss it, let alone challenge it. A conditioned mind is challenged by someone who has burnt that filter down.
Desperation for Control
People do not have control over their circumstances. How can they? Their mind plays tricks all the time.
This illusion of control keeps you stuck in conditioned habits: making fear-driven choices, worrying about the future, or resisting inevitable change. Ironically, the tighter you hold, the more disconnect you experience. This dynamic creates an inner split between an inner reality and a projected one for the benefit of others. A mind in resistance is a force of nature, just a negative one. It creates misery daily, before you know you are old and feeble. There is absolutely nothing in control. The only thing you can do is to wake up to the lies your mind feeds you. Start telling your mind to hush. When you take power back your mind resists. The biggest challenge for you is to stay receptive. Most can't do that, opting for lesser paths that confuse and befuddle even more. In this way of living, it becomes obligatory to project a persona that compensates for a lack of inner integrity. Deep down you know, Everyone knows.
Un-knowing the great mystery
The true spiritual journey is to recognise, experience and establish your true identity that lies beyond the function of the mind.
NO-Mind-the vast and infinite Un-knowing where true intelligence reigns. Your true abode is that. You are that.
How do we move from a conditioned mind to a state of un-knowing?
Settle down, settle down and settle down some more. You settle down with grace.
How to Find Your True HOME
Is like asking, how can I get HOME, when you are already sitting in your bed! You are HOME. there is no wilderness, only home. You are lost in the cackle of an insecure mechanism that is a gift from the 'other'.
Start becoming honest with yourself. You may soon discover that your desire for happiness is superficial. You rather be right, wise, successful, glorious. Being truthful is not encouraged in this world. Lies are paddled and honoured. You buy into lies, tell yourself and other blatant lies. The revealing of indwelling peace is to become naked and unashamed with oneself. That will open your heart to acknowledging and feeling even the most uncomfortable emotions. That will prepare you to receive grace. Grace unites you with your inner presence. Reception of grace is the easiest thing in the world.
and also the most difficult thing in the world, because of the self-deception of your mind. Self deception makes for a life of suffering and long-winded spirituality
