Stances versus innate intelligence

Life is a constant Flux, Shiva's dance. A never-ending dance. Most minds are static, stagnant and dulled by the lack of the ability to dance along. Most people manage their lives by sticking to various stances. Living from a stance and living from your innate intelligence are like chalk and cheese, two different universes. Stances are so precious to you that they become a part of your identity. Solid mind solidifies life. There is no room left for living intelligence. Everything is set. The dance diminishes, joy diminishes with it.
When you start to live through your innate intelligence, there is hardly a stance that you can stick with. There is simply no stance worth sticking to. You'll often contradict yourself. Say one thing now and do exactly the opposite five minutes later. And you don't care!
Life is fresh, unfolding beautifully with each passing moment. You can't care to drag along a stance, a belief, from the past. A programmed mind, on the other hand, is a stale, repetitive, and predictable mechanism. It keeps on generating thoughts, feelings and actions on repeat. There is nothing predictable about life. Life is fresh, unpredictable- a force unto itself, that scares the mind!
The mind is scared of life's unpredictability. The mind is forced to adopt a stance, making it easier to navigate the complexity of a reality in constant flux. There are stances on every aspect of life. There are philosophical, scientific, social, political, spiritual stances... Give your mind a random thought, and your mind will create a stance.
If you are a little perceptive, you see mere stances walking about having great debates, arguments and occasionally a world war. All for stances.
I can never be religious. I never could be after a certain age. I stopped being religious in the way that I had been. I stayed Reverent in a way that I had been. Reverent to the abiding Guru-principle, but not to any teaching, not to the bookish stances. Later, I also found out that I can't even stick with any spiritual stances either. I just can't stick with any stance. Stances are not needed. They are only there so that you wouldn't have to face life directly without any filters. Stances are safety filters to keep you safe from a direct brush with life.
You know, you've got a stance. Well, that's what I always do. Well, when I leave the house, I check the doors five times. That's my little ritual, a bit like that. Some don't exactly do that, but you get the idea, you know, stances are to keep you safe so that your mind will not wobble too much yeah mind is frightened scared of what of what it might find what it doesn't know how to handle so it's best to just stick with Stance. All your religious zealots, spiritual teachers, are so teachy, preachy, because they're frightened that they know that they need this stance to stay safe. And if they were to be torn apart, separated from them, it would result in a loss of identity.
Whereas spirituality, if practised correctly, will remove all your stances, not just one. so that you become the raw force of life that is alive and present, right here.
Rather than a pile of stale stances, regurgitating endlessly boring socks off others. Boring life, isn't it? And the more frightened your mind is stronger are the stances. Rigidity goes hand in hand with ignorance of the mind.
What is the ignorance of the mind?
The ignorance of mind is that it is not willing to look at its own fabric, not as in analysing the past and the issues that cause pain, but engaging in a self-inquiry about the very fabric of the mind. Becoming spiritual implies that you have become deeply interested in the fabric, and not just the content of your mind. Unearthing the mechanism that is your mind is the gist of a spiritual journey. To deeply investigate one's mind, the mechanism, the very structure, the very construct where the ingredients come from, how was it made into this amazing entity, that veils your true identity? That deep investigation is rare, and the spiritual stance is for everyone. In fact, a spiritual stance is put in place merely to dance around the idea of spirituality, yet cunningly and effectively avoiding Truth.
People who are doing positive affirmations will not get very far, because you can't hold a stance that is alien to the fabric of the mind. The positivity to the conditioned mind is an imposition. It's not natural to it. Your conditioned mind is naturally a negative entity, a space devoid of anything that is life-affirming. The programmed mind is anti-life. Your true core is Life itself. Your mind cannot function beyond stances. Light the flame of your being, and you will see your true self. That is grace.
With grace, guidance, and receptivity, the programmed mind matures enough to surrender dearly held stances and jump back into the eternal dance.
Real life starts.
Don't stop until then
Blessings 💕
